Data Sources and Corrections

Approved sources, freshness, licensing boundaries, attribution, and correction process for OneAppOnline live data.

Source policy

Priority is: official public API or feed; compatible open-data source; documented public or commercial API; authorized RSS. Scraping is used only when terms clearly permit the intended use. Reverse-engineered private endpoints are rejected.

Current and conditionally approved sources

  • Open-Meteo supplies modeled global weather and air-quality forecasts plus GeoNames-backed location search. Free hosted endpoints are permitted only while OneAppOnline is non-commercial and advertising, subscriptions, and other monetization are disabled. Before commercial activation, Weather requires an eligible Customer API plan and server-only credentials. Incomplete commercial configuration disables Weather without falling back to free hosts. Displays credit Open-Meteo and CC BY 4.0, CAMS, GeoNames, and OneAppOnline transformations.
  • U.S. National Weather Service for U.S. forecasts and alerts.
  • USGS for real-time earthquake feeds.
  • National Hurricane Center for official tropical products.
  • OpenFreeMap Positron supplies the commercial-use gray vector basemap with OpenMapTiles and OpenStreetMap attribution; the local Natural Earth map remains the fail-safe fallback.
  • NOAA Aviation Weather Center for public aviation weather products.
  • Nager.Date for public-holiday data, with service hours kept unknown unless separately sourced.
  • Measurement Lab NDT7 supplies the full sustained speed measurement after explicit consent; M-Lab publishes the measurement and public IP under its data policy.
  • Cloudflare Speedtest supplies the smaller private quick check. Traffic goes directly to Cloudflare's edge; OneAppOnline disables optional result logging and labels the result as browser-to-Cloudflare, not a universal Internet speed.
  • TheSportsDB only under a reviewed production plan and provider fuse. Data access never supplies an independent trademark licence for team or competition logos.

Freshness and provenance

Live responses include provider, retrieval time, cache state, and warnings. Stale or missing records are labeled; old advisories are not presented as current.
